How my journey began
I am a board-certified health and wellness coach (NBC-HWC), registered nurse (RN) and have worked in pediatrics since 1992. I received a Master of Science in Nursing in 2006 and worked as a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia until September 2023. I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years. I am also a yoga teacher; I completed a 200-hour teacher training in 2012.
Health coaching brings together my passions, strengths, and values. I have long been passionate about health and wellness. This shows up in many facets of my life, including an active lifestyle; over the years I’ve enjoyed biking, hiking, running, group fitness classes, weightlifting and yoga. I am an avid home cook who enjoys eating a healthy diet and love learning about nutrition. I discovered yoga and meditation about 20 years ago, which have been consistent parts of my life. Both deepen my self-awareness and help me stay balanced. The skills and expertise I gained from my 30 years of nursing combined with my eight years of experience facilitating yoga classes and my lived experience of caring for family with chronic health conditions have led me to this place right now. These are the parts of me that I want to share and cultivate in my clients.
When I discovered health and wellness coaching, I was drawn to this modality of supporting and partnering with people who want to make meaningful and lasting behavior change and achieve their goals. Health coaching is a way for me to do what I love, which is to offer compassionate support to those who want to be the best version of themselves. Helping people take better care of their health is important to me because I believe that each of us has within ourselves the wisdom and the power to improve our own health. I will work closely with you to develop customized wellness plans that align with your specific needs and goals.
My approach is holistic, addressing both physical and mental well-being. I understand that true wellness is a balance of the mind, body, and spirit. I am committed to guiding my clients towards achieving their desired state of well-being.
